Here is her short bio:
One such activity which has brought me not only joy but also a wealth of knowledge has been my unique internship with the Green Lifestyle Film Festival. For my part, my director and I discussed a role at GLFF that would involve doing graphic design and illustration with an environmental theme and conscience. I couldn’t be more proud and excited…both my fields…together.
My first assignment was creating the GLFF logo for this year’s festival to be used on all promotional materials. After hours and days of sketching and a long process of drafts going back and forth, I was finally left with a final product that everyone on the team was happy with. I had thought hard about the message I wanted to convey, the symbolism and even the use of color. This was where my environmental emphasis came in handy. With that assignment done, the journey continues with my next assignment. I was asked me to create cartoons that illustrated the ideals that the GLFF stands for and the ideas that they are trying to get across. From air pollution and water pollution to animal rights and fair trade, no environmental subject is being overlooked. Sometimes it’s difficult to find the right composition that will achieve the right message. However, with my understanding of the science behind the issues makes presenting the subject matter easier. Environmental issues can be touchy for some even offensive to others but our goal is to provide a different way of looking at these issues even if some people may not want to hear about it.
Film is a powerful medium, one that reaches the most people in this day and age. Our goal is to bring environmental themes to the forefront…
You can meet her at the film festival along with other artists next weekend!! Be sure to check out their work, dedication and inspiration!
On another note,
