Visualizing the BP Oil Spill
Hey Everyone,
Recently, I stumbled across this website which helped me to visualize the size of the British Petroleum Oil Spill that has swept across the US Gulf of Mexico. I am not sure how accurate the site is but I’m sure it comes close to scale. The site allows you to enter your location of residence and then maps out the size of the spill as if it were in your location.
Living in San Francisco, the oil spill would span quite a bit of the bay area from San Francisco to Sacramento to Santa Clara (just before hitting Santa Cruz. Check out where the oil spill would affect your area if it WERE in your area.
